Quarr Abbey

On the A3054 from Wootton Bridge towards Ryde,

The rose coloured monastery was built by the French Benedictine monks in about 1908.

The original abbey dating back to 1132 was destroyed in 1536

after the dissolution of the monasteries. Well worth a visit.
